SkyLog is a specialized digital aviation logbook platform designed to assist Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs), technicians, trainees, and Quality Managers in securely recording, authenticating, and archiving aircraft maintenance experience in compliance with DGCA CAR-66 regulatory requirements.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, synchronize, and protect your information when you access or use the SkyLog mobile application (available across iOS and Android) or our website located at skylog.in. We are committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, data integrity, and security in adherence with international privacy standards, DGCA CAR-66 recordkeeping rules, the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

1. Information We Collect and Receive

To provide digital logbook management, supervisor countersigning, and CAR-66 compliant PDF export services, SkyLog collects and processes the following categories of information:

A. Personal Identity & Contact Details

• Basic Profile: Full name, username, contact email address, and phone number.
• Demographics & Address: Date of birth, gender, nationality, permanent address, communication address, and postal PIN codes (mandated by DGCA Section 1 personal details format).

B. Official Aviation Credentials

• Regulatory Numbers: DGCA Computer Number, AME License Number, Category (B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B2, etc.), and Airline Authorization Number.
• Employer Details: Current employer / airline name, base maintenance location, and employment dates.

C. Professional Verification & Endorsement Assets

• Passport-Size Photograph: 35 × 45 mm regulatory photo for your digital logbook profile and CAR-66 cover pages.
• Digital Signature: Vector or image digital signature used strictly to sign maintenance entries and page approvals.
• Official Stamps / Seals: Digital stamp and Quality Manager stamp images utilized to authenticate approved maintenance tasks and logbook sheets.

D. Aircraft Maintenance Logbook Records

• Section Records: Training course details (Section 2), employer history (Section 3), basic workshop skills (Section 4), and daily maintenance entries (Section 5).
• Technical Parameters: Aircraft type, engine rating, aircraft registration, ATA 100 chapter, task descriptions, maintenance hours, flight hours, supervisor name, and endorsement status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly for legitimate aviation logbook operations:

• Logbook Generation: Formatting and producing audit-proof CAR-66 PDF logbooks and Excel spreadsheets.
• Hierarchical Approvals: Allowing junior engineers to route daily work records and logbook sheets to senior AMEs, Duty Managers, and Quality Managers for verification and digital stamping.
• Direct Cloud Synchronization: Safely synchronizing your logbook entries, supervisor endorsements, and verification assets directly to secure cloud storage in real time.
• Account & Security: Authenticating user accounts via secure magic links or passwords and safeguarding records against unauthorized tampering.

3. Architecture, Storage & Security Measures

SkyLog operates as a cloud-synchronized aviation platform with no offline-first storage dependency. All user records, maintenance entries, and verification credentials are saved and processed directly on enterprise-grade Supabase Cloud infrastructure:

• Direct Cloud Architecture: SkyLog saves and manages all data directly in real-time in Supabase Cloud (hosted on resilient, enterprise PostgreSQL infrastructure). Every database transaction is protected by strict Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring that users can only access their own records or records explicitly routed to them for supervisory verification.
• Transit & Rest Encryption: All communications between your device and the cloud are strictly enforced over TLS 1.3 encryption. Cloud databases, media attachments (photos, stamps, signatures), and storage buckets are encrypted at rest using AES-256.
• Continuous Cloud Protection: Because all records are saved directly in Supabase Cloud, your verified maintenance history, aircraft task logs, and official stamps are safeguarded against device loss, damage, or platform switching (Android to iOS or vice versa).

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell or rent your personal aviation logbooks or identity documents. Data is only shared with vetted infrastructure and certified advertising providers under standard operational agreements:

5. In-App Advertising & Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

The SkyLog mobile application displays advertisements served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to support free access to digital logbook management tools for aviation students, trainees, and engineers. We adhere to industry-standard advertising guidelines established by Google Play and the Apple App Store:

• Information Collected for Ad Serving: Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain device-level information to deliver and measure advertisements, including:
  • Mobile advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID on Android or IDFA on iOS, subject to your tracking permissions).
  • Approximate device location (derived from IP address for regional relevance and ad fraud prevention).
  • Ad interaction and diagnostics data (such as impressions, clicks, load errors, and app performance metrics).
• Strict Isolation of Logbook Data: Your aviation credentials, DGCA numbers, maintenance task descriptions, flight hours, aircraft registrations, digital signatures, and official stamps are never shared with or accessible to Google AdMob or any advertisers.
• No Ad Opt-Out: The SkyLog application is supported by advertisements. There is no opt-out option, setting, or request form to disable advertisements within the application, and ads are displayed uniformly to all users to sustain platform infrastructure and operations.

6. Data Retention Policy

Under aviation regulations (DGCA CAR-66 and Rule 61 of the Aircraft Rules, 1937), maintenance experience records must be preserved for audit and license renewal verification. SkyLog retains your logbook records as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, your personal identification and records will be handled in accordance with our deletion procedures below.

7. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have full ownership and control over your aviation data:

• Access & Export: You can export your full logbook in CAR-66 PDF or Excel format at any time directly within the application.
• Correction & Rectification: You can edit or amend personal details, credentials, and draft entries before they are locked by supervisory endorsement.
• Complete Account Deletion: You have the right to permanently delete your account and all associated personal credentials at any time. For security and identity verification, account deletion must be initiated directly inside the SkyLog mobile app by tapping your Profile Photo / Avatar in the top-right corner to open Profile & Settings, then scrolling to the bottom and tapping Delete Account. If you have uninstalled the app, you must re-download SkyLog from Google Play or the App Store, sign in, complete the in-app deletion, and then uninstall. 8. Children's Privacy

SkyLog is a professional tool built exclusively for adult aviation maintenance professionals, engineers, and technical trainees. We do not knowingly collect or solicit data from children under the age of 18.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect regulatory amendments from DGCA or enhancements to our platform. Any material changes will be notified through an in-app notice or published on skylog.in/privacy with an updated effective date.
