Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SkyLog mobile application, cloud services, and website (skylog.in), provided by Prans Tec ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, creating an account, or using SkyLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Professional Use and Eligibility
SkyLog is designed specifically for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME), technicians, apprentices, trainees, supervisors, and Quality Managers holding or pursuing qualifications under DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India) or equivalent international civil aviation authorities. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and that all aviation credential numbers provided by you (such as DGCA Computer Number, License Number, and Authorization Number) are authentic and belong to you.
2. Accuracy of Logbook Entries & Integrity
Under civil aviation laws (including Rule 61 of the Aircraft Rules, 1937), falsification of aircraft maintenance experience records or forging supervisory endorsements constitutes a serious regulatory violation.
- You agree that every maintenance task, aircraft registration, ATA chapter, and hour logged in SkyLog accurately reflects work personally performed or supervised.
- You agree never to upload fraudulent digital signatures or unauthorized institutional stamps.
- Once an entry is officially verified and counter-signed by an authorized supervisor or Quality Manager, it is locked against retroactive alterations.
3. Regulatory & Government Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
SkyLog is an independent digital record-keeping and logbook formatting tool developed by Prans Tec. SkyLog is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministry of Civil Aviation, or the Government of India.
The references to DGCA, CAR-66, or DGCA CA Form 19-10 are strictly for descriptive purposes to indicate syllabus and logbook formatting alignment for aviation maintenance engineers, technicians, and trainees. SkyLog does not issue, grant, or certify licenses. Final acceptance, verification, and endorsement of maintenance experience for licensing or certification remains under the sole jurisdiction and discretion of the DGCA and your certified maintenance organization's Quality department.
4. In-App Advertising
The SkyLog mobile application displays third-party advertisements delivered by certified advertising networks, specifically Google Mobile Ads (Google AdMob), to support continuous service availability and development. Advertisements are served in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and Apple App Store Review Guidelines. Advertisements are a standard, non-optional component of the application, and no ad opt-out mechanism, request form, or ad-free tier is provided. We strive to ensure that advertisements remain non-intrusive and appropriate for aviation professionals and technical trainees.
5. Digital Signatures and Stamps
Digital signatures and official stamps uploaded to SkyLog are stored securely and utilized solely for endorsing your own or your colleagues' logbook entries upon explicit mutual submission. You retain legal responsibility for any document endorsed using your authenticated credentials.
6. Intellectual Property
All software code, UI designs, brand marks, and features of SkyLog are the exclusive intellectual property of Prans Tec. Your aircraft maintenance data and exported PDF logbooks belong to you.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prans Tec shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or regulatory consequences arising from inaccurate user entries, loss of unbacked device records, or regulatory disputes regarding logbook endorsements. Users are encouraged to maintain periodic PDF exports of their verified logbooks.
